Last month Police Scotland released the figures for those caught drink-driving over the 2015 festive period. Whilst the those caught drink-driving year round are falling, Christmas once again saw a spike in people who were willing to risk their the lives of others as well as themselves. Brake's Greg Marah questions it the UK's stance on drink-driving is hard enough and whether enough is being done to highlight the issues drink-driving still causes.
2014 saw a 4% rise in the number of deaths on UK roads. Yet despite those figures - speeding on all roads seems to be the norm for many drivers. Here, Brake's Greg Marah looks at the perception of speeding amongst the media and general public, particularly from those who are caught lamenting what is perceived to be a 'tax' on motorists.
Statistics don't lie, young drivers are some of the most vunerable on Britain's roads with drivers aged 17-19 being involved in 12% of serious or fatal crashes. Brake campaigns assistant Greg Marah looks at how younger drivers can be protected and what more could be done.
