We may not be able to book places on fundraising trips to far-flung destinations at the moment, but you can still join us on one of our amazing walking challenges by taking part in #BrakeFit and stepping out for Brake during lockdown.

Brake's virtual Inca Trail trek

Walking the Inca Trail is an iconic trek to one of the Seven Wonders of the World – with the added bonus of experiencing Peruvian history, culture and hidden charms along the way, as well as a few llamas! It's an experience of a lifetime and one for everyone's bucketlist. We can't help you get to Peru at the moment but our virtual trek is a challenging walk that replicates the distances and elevation of the real trek.

When is it? You can start your trek on any date and complete it in several stages

What is it?A 4-day walking challenge equivalent to trekking the Inca Trail. Your walk will take place in your community while observing government guidelines for social distancing.

Brake's virtual Lands End to John O'Groats walk

Walking from Lands End to John O'Groats is not for the fainthearted. People typically cover around 1200 miles (1900km) when they walk from the north of Scotland to the westernmost tip of Cornwall and the trip can take two to three months to complete (although the record for running it is nine days). Always fancied the challenge but never had the time? Our virtual Lands End to John O'Groats walking challenge is a great way to get fit during lockdown and a real test of stamina by anyone's standards.

When is it? You can start your trek on any date and complete it over whatever time period you choose

What is it?A 1200 mile walking challenge equivalent to walking from Lands End to John O'Groats. Your walk will take place in your community while observing government guidelines for social distancing.
