Pledge campaign training

  • PDF

steeringwheelFleet managers, driver trainers and community campaigners can attend a low cost one-day course by Brake that trains you to deliver the Brake Pledge to drivers in your workplace or town. The Brake Pledge is Brake's flagship campaign for road safety, so get involved by getting trained! The course is low cost and if you have been bereaved by a road crash, or are a subscriber to Brake, it is free.

The course trains you to lead discussion-based workshops with groups of drivers on the most important safety topics including speed, drink and drug driving, and fatigue. Course delegates get password access to online Pledge interactive learning tools and a comprehensive guide to delivering the Pledge campaign.

Tracey Young works for the vehicle leasing company Arval and after attending this course she has led countless workshops reaching hundreds of drivers. She says: “The Pledge training has created a lasting impression in the minds and behaviours of every one of the 700 Arval staff who have attended. I love delivering these life-saving messages, because I know that they really can save lives, time and time again.”

Find out locations and dates and book on to a Pledge course through our Fleet Safety Forum site.

The Pledge campaign training is subsidised thanks to kind sponsorship from Colas with additional thanks to ARVAL UK Ltd, Digby Brown, Irwin Mitchell, Lyons Davidson, Nelsons Law and Pannone LLP for kindly providing venues and refreshments.
