Big hearted marriages

marriage

Congratulations! Many couples feel that they already have most of the things that they need for married life … so instead, why not offer guests the chance to donate to a charity of your choice?

Brake have had two fundraising weddings recently; at the first the bride and groom asked for donations instead of wedding gifts; and at the second the bride and groom decided to donate money to charity instead of buying favours for guests; they gave each guest a scroll (in place of the favour) explaining where the money was going.

If you want to fundraise for Brake at your wedding, create an online sponsorship webpage (visit www.justgiving.com to set one up) and then just give guests your web address and ask them to donate direct - the webpage also gives guests the opportunity to leave a personal message.

Alternatively, for other wedding ideas, contact Lisa on 01484 683294 or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it to discuss further.

Not for you?
Return to the fundraising page, and find something that is!
