Resources for fleet and road safety professionals

Brake produces a range of guidance reports, survey reports, posters and driver advice sheets for fleet and road safety professionals. Our advice is of use throughout an organisation: from advice on developing risk management policies through to practical guidance for managers and advice sheets for at-work drivers.

Visit Global Fleet Champions to find the latest resources, guidance and advice on road safety topics.

Free resources for SMEs

We offer a free package of resources aimed at SMEs, funded by THINK! The resource pack includes:

  • Guidance on how fleet road risk management can save your company money, meet your legal requirements, and improve your reputation.
  • Photocopiable driver advice sheets offering practical advice on key road safety topics.
  • Resources for promoting Brake’s Pledge, a series of key road safety measures that have been used to promote road safety by organisations of all sizes.

Latest road safety reports and resources

We produce new resources for professionals and fleets throughout the year. Find out what new resources we have available for road safety and fleet professionals.

Reports, survey results and case studies

Members of Global Fleet Champions get access to the latest advice and information from Brake, including expert advice and the results of our surveys of fleet managers. Recent topics include:

  • Fleet Survey Report: Technology: a survey of fleet managers of the technology on their vehicles
  • Zero Tolerance: tackling drink and drug driving
  • Protecting vulnerable road users

Leaflets, posters and printed resources

We also produce a range of posters, leaflets, and tyre tread indicators, some of which are available for free. These are available from the Brake Shop.

Discussion powerpoint slides

Print out these discussion cards, or display them on an interactive whiteboard, to use in workshops with young people.

The slides are based on the Brake Pledge, and cover six major road safety topics: speed; drugs and alcohol; seat belts; driver health and tiredness; distractions; and sustainability.

You can talk through the cards with the whole group. Or they can divide into smaller groups and take one card each, spending ten minutes chatting through the issues on their card and coming up with some conclusions and solutions to present to the others. This means the group are coming up with the solutions themselves, rather than being lectured at.
