As a business that employs people who drive for work, or drive to and from your workplace, you have a corporate responsibility for driver safetly and the safety of vehicles used. If all employers took this responsibility seriously, many lives and injuries would be saved.
Many crashes involve a vehicle being driven for work purposes, and many of the causes of these crashes involves a vehicle being driven too fast, or by a tired driver, or by a driver on the phone, or by other causes that can be prevented through road risk management.
Brake works with many blue chip employers, from Microsoft to FedEx, right through to very small companies, to stop deaths and injuries and roads involving vehicles being driven for work purposes.
Our Fleet Safety Forum is a competitively-priced, not-for-profit subscription service run by Brake to help you manage your road risk through provision of practitioner advice and academic research through reports, websites, ebulletins and events.
We also provide very low-cost one-day training for fleet managers to enable you to deliver our Pledge safer driving campaign to your drivers, helping drivers explore the most frequent causes of crashes and how to avoid them through their own actions and their commitment to the Pledge.
Our Fleet Safety Forum conference and awards programme is open to all employers, and is an excellent way to benchmark your road risk management activities against those of other companies and gain recognition for your own efforts. You can also benefit from attending our annual road safety congress and regional seminar programme.
Companies can also get involved in national Road Safety Week, an annual awareness-raising week organised by Brake, but led by you. Road Safety Week is a great opportunity to kick-start your road risk management inititiaves or give them an extra focus.
