Police FLO regional sessions

Webcast series – Supporting the role of the Family Liaison Officer

Coming soon… a series of four webcasts for Family Liaison Officers and Co-ordinators.

Expert speakers will share good practice and case studies, professional development learnings and useful resources, to encourage better engagement with police forces in 2021.

Topics will include:

  1. The importance of the FLO role

    Confirmed speakers:
Dr Michelle Wright is a Chartered Psychologist. She carries out research in the field of Investigative Psychology with a focus on homicide and police investigation processes.
  2. Blood and organ donation and tissue transfer

  3. Aftermath support: best practice after a road crash

  4. Case study: The role of the FLO during the COVID-19 pandemic

Each webcast will be 10–15 minutes long and will be available to download and view on demand.

The sessions will be offered free to attendees with all associated costs covered by commercial sponsorship to ensure high attendance levels.

It is reasonable to expect that the number of sessions delivered will be increased from 2021 once Brake has established the model for delivery and secured interest in the approach.
