2young2die campaign

2young2die_logoRoad crashes are a huge killer of young people. 2young2die is Brake's campaign to help young people save their own lives on roads. All too often young people are killed or maimed in cars or on motorbikes due to speeding, drink and drug driving, using mobile phones while driving, or just not belting up. Young people on foot and bicycles also take risks that result in death and serious injury. Every day in Britain alone six young people aged 12-19 are killed or seriously hurt on foot or bicycles, and 19 young people under 25 are killed or seriously hurt in cars.

If you teach or work with young people, or you are a young person, you are at the heart of this campaign - use the links below to get saving lives.

2young2die training
We train you to lead Brake's powerful 2young2die workshops for young people about the dangers of driving and being a passenger with a young driver. Great for secondary teachers, youth leaders, young people who want to make a difference, emergency services, and people bereaved and injured in road crashes who have a powerful story to tell. Find out dates and venues near you...

2young2die competition
If you are aged 11 to 25 and want to save the lives of your generation, enter our annual 2young2die competition. You and your mates run your own road safety campaign aimed at young people in your town, and win the chance to win big and be presented with an award in the Houses of Parliament. Teachers and club leaders can help lead and direct entries. Find out more...

2young2die fundraising
Support Brake and spread the road safety message by holding a fundraiser for Brake. Hold a BrightDay in your school or college. Or if you are at uni, donate rag week funds to the cause. Talent shows are another great idea. A good  time to hold a fundraiser is during Road Safety Week. For lots more fundraising ideas click here.

2young2die resources
Visit www.2young2die.org.uk for victim video stories, interactive learning and discussion ideas. If you are a teacher you can also browse our teaching resources.

2young2die in government
The 2young2die campaign is calling on the Government to introduce tougher driver licensing laws to help young drivers be safer drivers. Read more here.
