Brake takes any comment or complaint about its services extremely seriously as it aims to deliver a high standard of services that aim to save lives and assist people in great need. The General Manager will aim to respond within 10 working days. If this is not possible, they will aim to let you know why, within this time frame, and give you an estimate of when you can expect to hear from us.

If you are not satisfied with the outcome of your complaint, you can write to Brake’s chief executive at PO Box 548, Huddersfield, HD1 2XZ.

If you wish to make a complaint or comment, but do not want to do so yourself, you may nominate someone to contact us on your behalf. They must have your consent however, and Brake may need to contact you to confirm that you have given this consent.

Brake promises that:

  • All complaints received about Brake support services will be taken seriously.
  • All complaints will be investigated, carefully considered and acted upon as required to alleviate any current problem and to improve procedures to prevent future complaints of a similar nature.
  • Anyone making a complaint will be kept informed about the outcome of that complaint unless they state that they do not wish to be kept informed.

 Brake will not respond to comments made to the charity that are abusive or threatening in nature and cannot respond to comments of no intelligible or substantive meaning.
