Be a Brake's Giant Walk star school

Could you be a Brake's Giant Walk star school? It doesn't matter if your school is big or small - it's about going the extra mile fundraising, campaigning or educating in the name of safer roads for children! Your achievements will be publicised on our website and through press releases, and you will receive an invite to our annual reception at the Houses of Parliament. We will choose one star school per region based on the following criteria:

Fundraise! Fundraise for Brake and raise a fantastic amount to support our national road safety campaigns and support for those bereaved and injured by road crashes. Get fundraising inspiration.

Campaign! We’ll regognise schools that used Brake's Giant Walk to campaign for safer roadspaces for children to allow them to walk or cycle to school safely; whether calling for a 20mph limit, crossings, dedicated segregated cycling infrastructure, or appealing to drivers to slow down. See our community campaign kit.

Educate! We’ll consider schools that ran fun and effective lessons and activities to spread road safety awareness and education to children, parents and anyone else. Read our teaching tips.

To be a star school, we need your feedback, photos and funds before end of July. Just fill in the short feedback form we email you immediately after the event!
