Kel Marsh - a daughter to be proud of

  • PDF

Kel MarshSometimes in the Moonlight
or just as day is dawning
one might catch a shadow
as elusive as a dream
Her spirit just glimpsed amongst the trees.
There!

It is that whisper in the breeze,
the dancing of Butterfly wings, fluttering of the leaves.
She lives on my daughter, in the sweet nature of her life.
As Kel’s Mother I’m proud to boast

She is reflected in the light of each new morning,
her smile that escapes the darkness of night,
to make our day warm and bright.
It makes my heart dance when all this I glance,
as I stand here and eat her favourite,
Marmite on toast.

But my tears fall as I know she has gone,
locked inside that tree.
No matter how much I call for her
At least in my dreams I set her free.
That’s something the person who killed her will never be!
