Died Thursday 10th September 2009
Stuart Earnshaw aged 48 from Halifax, West Yorkshire, died on his way to work whilst driving his classic 1976 Norton Commando motorbike which he lovingly restored himself, he was in collision with a Fork Lift Truck crossing a busy main road. He died because someone else was not paying attention.
Stuart lived his life with enthusiasm; He loved his family, friends and had just become a grandad for the first time. He enjoyed building and riding classic motorbikes, and he was a successful design engineer. He liked red wine, and playing saxophone, he was a great jive saxophanist and played for a band called Jump, Jive and Wail, his music will jive on in our hearts.
SUDDEN DEATH
This morning you lived, breathed, lay next to me and smiled.
Your body pulsed and swayed with the rhythm of music which ran through your veins.
A blue sky with fluffy clouds - and Indian summer I recall.
There was no knowing in that timeless moment that we would not see each other again.
That in an instant your energy, your light and life would be snuffed out.
The carelessness of another not knowing your worth.
Can I forgive that indiscretion?
Missed by so many - we are indeed richer for having known him.
Never coming home.
Did you look?
What did you see?
Did you look?
Please tell me?
Did you see a shopping list, what's for tea and items missed?
Did you plan your holiday; a fun filled family get away?
Or were you stressed and didn't see; angry moments consuming me.......?
Fight with the boss or, money woes!
In a hurry that's how it goes!
Did you look?
What did you see?
The devastation to another family?
A Mum in tears and Dad in Pain;
Their loved one never coming home again!
Would you bear that burden easily?
Did you look?
What did you see?
2 years of missing you:
Someone else’s mistake and for a lifetime we must suffer.
Time does not always heal, time just mean we get used to living with the pain of our loss.
