Ross Moorlock
Chief executive officer (CEO)
Ross was appointed CEO in January 2024, having held the position of interim CEO for 9 months before being appointed to lead the charity. Prior to this, he was chief operating officer for 4 years, and business development director for 2 years. Ross brings a steadfast determination and a wealth of experience to the role of chief executive and is well placed to lead Brake into and through its next strategic period. Ross is a keen road cyclist and runner, and he is passionate about road safety and reducing road deaths and injuries.
Jo Birch
National service delivery lead
Jo is Brake’s national service delivery lead for Brake's National Road Victim Service. She joined Brake in 2026, bringing more than 15 years of leadership in the charity sector. Jo has specialised in trauma-informed practice, safeguarding, staff wellbeing and supporting survivors of domestic and sexual abuse. Her work has included leading services that support adults, families, children, and young people affected by trauma, crisis, and significant life-changing events, and developing training programmes for professionals across health, education, social care, and community services. Jo plays a key role in leading and developing Brake’s trauma-informed services, including specialist bereavement and serious injury support delivered nationally through regional and remote caseworkers and structured triage pathways, ensuring services are compassionate, accessible, and responsive to the complex needs of people affected by trauma. Jo is passionate about creating inclusive, victim focused services that place the voices and experiences of survivors at the heart of service delivery and design, while supporting staff and teams to thrive.
Scott Williams
Head of programme delivery
Scott joined Brake in 2019 as head of programme delivery, responsible for leading Brake’s engagement team to develop and deliver a range of tools, projects and programmes promoting safe and healthy mobility for all.
Jami Blythe
Head of development
Jami joined Brake in 2020 after a 20-year career in the police, where she worked as a roads policing investigator and family liaison officer. She returned to university while working as a police officer and studied for a doctorate in young driver road safety. Jami leads the development of Brake’s National Road Victim Service and is passionate about the accessibility of support for those who have been bereaved or injured in crashes.
Louise Robbins
Head of finance
Louise is Brake’s head of finance, and responsible for the whole finance function and our small accounts team.
Sophie Dilley
Managing editor
Sophie is Brake's managing editor, with responsibility for producing high-quality resources to support the charity's campaigns and education projects, as well as support books to help families bereaved and seriously injured in road crashes to understand the complex procedures that often follow a road crash.
Amy Walker
Operations manager
Amy joined Brake in 2022. She brings experience gained mostly in a corporate environment in varied industries such as wine, fashion and publishing. She made the excellent decision to move to the charity sector a few years ago and has never looked back. She gains lots of job satisfaction from using her corporate experience to help charities run more smoothly and efficiently.
