He will direct traffic, speak to parents, educate the children and offer guidance every day, no matter what the weather is like. John Plumb, Lollipop man
For many years this 79-year-old ex-navy veteran has helped the children (and parents) cross the busy road outside of Fulwell Junior School with a smile and a chat. John is the most kind hearted Lollipop man, he is always waiting with a smile and chatter ready everyday to help the children and parents of Fulwell to cross the road. The children adore him, listen to him and are much more road safety aware because of him. He is a pillar of the local community, who never lets the children down and is always there, all throughout the pandemic.
John is an absolute credit to the school and community. He is a friendly, caring man who offers safety to all children and adults alike on a very busy and dangerous crossing to the school. He puts in effort to check on every person he meets and provides assurance to each and every parent that their children are safer. John is an extremely deserving gentleman and should be recognised for his role within our community.
