Reflex Vehicle Hire reflects on 5 years of partnership with Brake

As a safety-centric business, Reflex Vehicle Hire is delighted to be involved with Brake in many other ways, from helping to raise funds to support Brake’s vital work, to sponsorship of the annual fleet awards. We have been honoured to pick up a couple of awards along the way ourselves too, including the Fleet Safety Product Award and the Safe Vehicles Award! We also host our own road safety events, attend conferences, encourage staff members to get involved, present at webinars and engage with Brake through our social media channels. We publish blogs on the Reflex website to spread the word about the incredible work Brake does to support road crash victims and campaign for safe and healthy mobility for all .

We are proud to support Brake through corporate partnership, knowing that our support helps the charity provide resources and useful information to educate the public as well as organisations. We support Brake’s vision of a world with safer roads for all users, not just those behind the wheel.

The message about the importance of safety permeates from the board room all the way through the business at Reflex. All staff members share the same ethos and are keen to get involved in fundraising activities that support Brake. To date, Reflex staff have taken part by riding the longest zip wire in Europe and holding numerous company bake sales. In March 2021, Reflex’s vehicle purchasing manager rode 300 miles in a cycling challenge for Brake, raising £1,035. Our next exciting fundraising challenge will be to take part in a tandem skydive for Brake, so look out for our brave contender at around 13,000 feet sometime soon!

We know safety is a top priority for many of our customers too, and another benefit of corporate partnership with Brake is that we can encourage customers to find out more about how to manage the safety and the wellbeing of their drivers by signing up to Brake programmes such as Global Fleet Champions, giving them access to free and low-cost events and resources to help them manage their road risk and create a culture where road safety is a top priority.

We plan to continue to develop our relationship with Brake, working in partnership, learning from others and listening to their experiences. We can all benefit from sharing knowledge and practices to enhance safety among fleets.
