More than 230 people from the fleet industry came together to enjoy a celebration dinner and honour 60 shortlisted organisations and individuals for their outstanding commitment to road safety, across 11 different awards categories.
The UK Fleet Champions Awards are the highlight of the year for Brake’s Global Fleet Champions initiative in the UK, celebrating the hard work and dedication of fleet organisations striving to reduce road deaths and injuries, and reduce pollution caused by their vehicles.
Attendees on the night made generous donations to Brake to support its National Road Victim Service, as well as buying raffle tickets and placing bids in the silent auction. Together they raised thousands of pounds to help fund Brake’s work campaigning for safer roads and supporting more than one thousand road victim families every year.
Individual award sponsorship from 10 different organisations underlined support for the awards from across the fleet industry.
The UK Fleet Champions Awards are judged by an independent panel of experts from the fleet industry.

The host of the evening was Brake’s Interim CEO, Ross Moorlock, who reminded attendees of the devastating impact of road crashes on families and urged everyone in the room to come together to achieve the shared goal of ending the daily deaths and injuries on roads. He said:
“Now is the time for action. Road safety should not be a political, point-scoring exercise. We must work collaboratively together for safe and sustainable solutions that meet all needs. And we need to work to deliver tangible progress and outcomes.
“It’s always humbling to see the fleet industry come together with safety at the forefront of their minds. We’re so grateful to everyone that supports these awards and we offer heartfelt congratulations to all the organisations and individuals who won or were shortlisted for an award. Their hard work and dedication are inspirational.”
