HR advisor

Hours: Part time, 21 hours and 45 minutes worked over a minimum of 3 days between the hours of 8am-6pm.

Contract length: Permanent

Salary: £21,000 (FTE £35,000)

Working pattern: Negotiable, minimum 3 days per week

Who we are

Brake is the national, acclaimed charity delivering the National Road Victim Service, a specialist, accredited, UK-wide support service for road victims, delivering case-managed care for anyone who has been bereaved or seriously injured in a road crash or who is supporting a road crash victim.

Not your average job

We need an HR Advisor to provide professional HR advice and operational support and training to managers and staff across the charity. This is a hands on role, taking responsibility for taking the lead with matters such as disciplinary, grievance, absence management, performance management to resolve inhouse where practical. The role will ensure that people management practices are fair, compliant with employment legislation, and aligned with the organisation’s values and mission. This role is key in supporting employee relations, recruitment, policy implementation, and organisational development initiatives within a collaborative and people-focused environment.
