This one-day conference for professionals in post-crash care will take place on Tuesday 14 May at etc. Conference centre in Manchester.

Tickets are available now and free for anyone working in the police, other emergency services, public or voluntary sector, as well as for academics. Representatives from commercial organisations are welcome to attend and can buy tickets. Sponsor and exhibitor packages are also available. Delegates will hear from a range of expert speakers and panellists to learn more about the specific needs of road victims and what excellence in post-crash care looks like.

Tickets available at www.brake.org.uk/afterthecrash.

The event is organised by Brake, the road safety charity, which delivers the National Road Victim Service, supporting hundreds of families every year with emotional and practical support following a road crash.

Support for adults and children who have been bereaved or suffered catastrophic injury in a crash is an essential humanitarian response. It’s vital that decisions about road victim care are based on sound evidence, to ensure that support provided meets the needs of families facing shock and devastation, safeguards vulnerable victims and achieves wellbeing goals.

Ross Moorlock, chief executive officer at Brake, said: "Post-crash care is central to our strategy at Brake, and our vital work striving to ensure that every road victim can receive the support they need in a timely manner. We're delighted to be hosting the After the Crash conference again this year, bringing together people from the front lines of post-crash response to explore best practice and build stronger partnerships, and ultimately to help all of us answering the call to support road victims better."

The After the Crash conference is sponsored by HCC Solicitors, Alderstone Solicitors and Slater & Gordon UK. The conference format will include presentations, panel sessions, networking opportunities, and an exhibition area featuring other post-crash organisations and charities. Final sponsor packages are still available. Please email the Brake team on corporate@brake.org.uk to find out more.

Martin James, Director at HCC Solicitors, said: "We are pleased to continue our sponsorship of After the Crash. We know that attendees gain huge value from the event by getting access to the latest best practices and expert thinking when dealing with victims who have experienced a road crash.”

Quentin Underhill, Partner and Head of Serious & Catastrophic Injury at Alderstone Solicitors, added: “Even before last year’s inaugural After the Crash conference had finished, we’d made the decision to support Brake if it was held again this year. It was inspiring, informative and vital. The event is a critical opportunity to share best practice so we can all support grieving and injured road crash victims. We’re honoured to be involved again.”

Tracey Benson, Head of Serious Injury – South at Slater and Gordon, said: “We are proud to be supporting Brake as one of their long-standing legal partners, at the After the Crash conference this year. The conference enables professionals involved in road victim care and support from across the UK to meet and discuss key issues, which is completely invaluable.”
