The seven firms provide vital funding for this year’s After the Crash conference, an important event in the road safety calendar.
Brake will deliver the After the Crash conference, for the third year running, in central Manchester on Thursday 19 June. This one-day event is for professionals with an interest in supporting families after a road crash, including police family liaison officers and coordinators, and senior investigating officers. Delegates will hear from expert speakers and panellists about the specific needs of road victims, and the difference that good post-crash support makes. Bereaved road victims will also share their experience, talking about how their lives were changed forever in an instant, and how the support they received helped them. Last year’s conference was a sell-out event, bringing together more than 200 delegates and speakers to talk about excellence in post-crash care.

The After the Crash conference is the latest collaboration as part of an ongoing partnership between Brake and the firms that comprise the charity’s legal panel. Earlier this year, the same firms renewed support and funding for Brake’s National Road Victim Service, helping road victims get expert legal help after a road death or serious injury, across areas such as inquests, wills and probate, as well as claims for financial support. They each adhere to Brake’s code of conduct for supporting road crash victims, and are helping the families supported by Brake in ways that are expert, empathetic and confidential.
