How to get involved
Taking part is simple and flexible. Here’s how to start your mission:
- Choose your challenge - Play solo or as a team. Stream for one day, a weekend, or throughout January. It’s completely up to you.
- Set up your fundraising page - Create a JustGiving page or a Facebook fundraiser and share it with your community.
- Download your digital resources - Grab our Digital Loot, full of overlays, graphics and banners to help you personalise your stream and promote your challenge.
- Start streaming, sharing, and fundraising - Raise awareness, entertain your audience, and support Brake while doing what you love. It’s that easy.
Whether you're an experienced streamer or brand new to the world of gaming challenges, Mission:Brake is built to be flexible, fun, and easy to fit into your lifestyle.
Take part solo
You can take on the challenge entirely on your own, from a one-off livestream or board game night to a series of short gaming sessions across the month. Choose your favourite game(s), set your date(s), and start spreading the word. You’ll raise vital funds and awareness just by doing what you love.
Take part as a team
Gaming is even better when shared. Rally friends, colleagues, family or your online community to form a team and take part together. You could:
- Host a multiplayer stream or tournament.
- Take turns livestreaming as part of a team marathon.
- Compete against each other and raise funds individually on your own pages.
Never done anything like this before?
Don't worry, you’re not alone! Mission:Brake is a new fundraising challenge, offering a dynamic, digital alternative to traditional physical fundraising activities like running or cycling.
You choose when to do it and how long to take part for. You can choose a one-off live stream, a weekend tournament, or multiple sessions across the month.
We are here to support you on your fundraising journey and help you get others involved.
If video games are not your thing, you can still get involved by hosting a board game night, Dungeons & Dragons sessions, or in-person tournaments with friends or colleagues, fundraising in your own way.
